What is a Lightworker?

What is a Lightworker-A Lightworker, also known as a boddhistava, is someone who takes the intentional decision to respond to the call of Source (light) rather than the call of the ego (fear).

You’ve probably heard the phrase “lightworker” if you’re familiar with the healing arts. However, like with many spiritual terminology and notions, there is no objective way to define what exactly a lightworker is, even if it has grown in popularity in recent years. Depending on who you ask, the definition of a lightworker and their position in the world might vary drastically.

As a result, I’ve had the amazing opportunity of working with a number of clients that I consider to be lightworkers. From energy healers to yoga instructors to breathwork specialists, I’ve witnessed firsthand some incredible people doing what they do to raise collective consciousness – to share the light.

So, here’s my opinion on what a lightworker is and how they contribute to the planet.

What is the origin of the phrase “lightworker”?(What is a Lightworker)

Michael Mirdad, a spiritual and metaphysical instructor, keynote speaker, self-help and new age book, as well as an intuitive healer and counsellor, created the word in the early 1980s. The word was then further established into contemporary culture when Doreen Virtue published The Lightworkers Way in 1997.

So, what exactly is a Lightworker?

What is a Lightworker

A lightworker, in my opinion, is someone who takes the deliberate decision to respond to the call of Source (light) rather than the call of the ego (fear). They recognise that their acts, no matter how large or tiny, have the power to elevate the planet’s vibration.

The term bodhisattva, which refers to anyone who has produced bodhicitta, a spontaneous wish and compassionate attitude to attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all sentient beings, is an ancient term for the term lightworker. This, of course, implies that a lightworker is on a spiritual journey, fully conscious that their energy matters and that they are a part of something greater than themselves.

Lightworkers aren’t your typical New Age Yogi who lives in a van. Teachers, film producers, and cleaners are just a few examples. It makes no difference how they disperse the light. What matters is that all lightworkers are drawn to assist others in some way.

Why do I keep waking up early? Here’s what the experts have to say

What does it mean to “spread the light” exactly?

Our universe is made up of a diverse range of energies. On one end of the spectrum, there is light energy, which is limitless and originates from the Source. It has a high vibration, is expansive, and is filled with love. Dark energy, on the other hand, is a far denser form of energy. Dense energy is the foundation of the ego, which sees us as separate spiritual beings rather than related ones. Fear is the source of all our troubles because it inhibits the flow of The Universe.

Lightworkers turn on their light by following what makes them happy and then simply share that happiness with the rest of the world. They are in sync with their soul’s callings and, despite their fears, act on them. They pay attention to the universe’s indications and seek instruction from a higher power. They don’t have to persuade anyone of anything; all they have to do is be the light.

It is thought that once you locate your light, you will become a lightworker by default. It will become second nature to you to shine your light on unconscious darkness. You will make the decision to make the world a better place with all your heart.

Characteristics of a Lightworker

What is a Lightworker

A lightworker recognises that one of the quickest ways to transcend the ego is to put others first. They understand that having a lot of compassion not only benefits others, but it also helps them on their spiritual path. This priceless Truth enables them to concentrate on using their unique abilities to assist all sentient creatures. They have a burning desire to alleviate others’ suffering, and their enterprises reflect this. It is not about prosperity or self-interest for a lightworker; it is about service to others.

Growing, learning, and expanding one’s consciousness are never complete for a lightworker. Spiritual growth is a never-ending process. After all, if you’re not living on the ledge, you’re wasting space.

A lightworker recognises that the world of form exists to challenge us, not to satisfy us. Life throws a kink in our plans just when we think we’ve got it all figured out… which is a good thing since it forces us to adapt and evolve. As a result, a lightworker’s journey is never finished. They are always growing and adopting the secret of ascent — getting higher and higher.

Living in the digital age brings with it a plethora of both challenges and opportunity for spiritual development. While there are more distractions than ever, there has never been more access to Spiritual Truths and opportunity for accidental encounters and insights. As a result, there has been a significant shift in global consciousness. People are awakening in greater numbers than ever before, thanks in large part to the efforts of all lightworkers.

It doesn’t matter if you’re doing energy healing, yoga or meditation, shadow work, or Kundalini — all lightworkers have the same goal: to heal and elevate the collective and individual consciousness.

When Jesus declared, “give and you shall receive,” he was as excellent as anybody in expressing the global law of Karma. This timeless spiritual Truth transcends all cultures, regardless of language, culture, or religion.

Your energy attracts the energy that you emit into the universe. As a result, the more love you give forth, the more love you attract. On the other hand, the more you take from others, the more you will be taken from. This is the philosophy of a true lightworker, who gives as much to the world as they can. They aren’t doing it to get, of course. They’re doing it because it’s the right thing to do, and it makes them happy and peaceful.

Lightworkers understand that by assisting others, they are also assisting themselves. You receive what you sow, after all.

A lightworker’s goals have nothing to do with winning; it is egotistical. It’s not a zero-sum game here. We’re all in this together, and we’re all working hard to raise the collective consciousness.

The success of lightworkers is viewed as a fire. When two flames meet, they combine to create a brighter flame. Their objectives are in line with those of their clients and peers. Lightworkers aren’t interested in petty competition or attempting to “corner the market.” Lightworkers, on the other hand, want everyone to succeed, including their ‘competition.’ All boats rise with the tide, as lightworkers know.

Rather than using their cunning to rip off clients and cheat out competition, lightworkers bring people together and develop community. After all, intellect brings people together, whereas cleverness separates them.

Lightworkers are aware of the principles of attraction and use them to bring their desires into reality. They don’t just sit around waiting for things to happen. Rather, they have complete faith in their own talents to do tasks.

Hope sits on the sidelines, waiting for anything to happen. Faith is both knowing and doing. Lightworkers confirm an abundant mindset every day, which emerges in their outward reality. After all, the outside constantly reflects the inner. They consistently keep this faith, even in the darkest hours, trusting in their talents to complete the task regardless of the circumstances. Scarcity does not exist for a lightworker.

Fear is the sharpest characterization of themselves as a person and a business owner, according to lightworkers. Whether they are business owners or not, most individuals dislike fear and will do all they can to avoid it. If you’re a lightworker, you’ve recognised that fear is your ally, and you don’t dread it anymore.

On the other hand, they welcome it since fear is fuel for a lightworker. Feeling it keeps them on their toes and enables for genuine personal and professional change. Terror of fear limits us in a variety of ways. It could lead to overreaction, such as working too hard to gain clients, forcing your approach on those who don’t need it, and so on. It could also lead to inaction, such as sitting on excess cash, staying safe rather than pursuing new opportunities, and so on.

Lightworkers understand two things: a) life is unpredictable, and b) nothing is permanent. They recognise that they cannot control how things will turn out in any aspect of their lives, even their business. Setting objectives, planning ahead, and having a long-term vision are all important for any business’s success, but things don’t always go as planned… and that’s good.

A lightworker keeps loose and flexible, taking each step one day at a time, rather than stressing over rigid plans or expectations. Rather than fretting about things they can’t control, they concentrate on the one thing they can: giving it their all right now.

Lightworkers come in a variety of shapes and sizes.

Lightworkers come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and they use a variety of mediums to deliver their message. While Lightworkers can range from salespeople to priests, the following are some of the more common types:

This category includes lightworkers who are motivated to help living beings and the Earth by using mental, physical, emotional, or spiritual techniques to healing. They are often very aware of others’ feelings and emotions, and can usually alleviate pain and suffering within minutes of interacting with humans or animals.

Healers are dedicated to helping people, the environment, animals, all souls, and all beings. Healing can take a variety of forms. There are numerous modalities to choose from, including mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual. If you’re a Healer, follow your intuition regarding the modalities, strategies, and ways you might use your ability to help others. As a Lightworker, your healing effort also includes oneself. You’re boosting your vibration and absorbing light so that you can heal, support, serve, love, and guide others.

Grid Workers are experienced lightworkers who specialise in clearing work, with their primary responsibility being to open interdimensional grid links to allow light and love to flow freely. The grid is a unit that uses lay lines to connect all awakened hearts and sacred spots on Earth.

Gatekeeping is a more sophisticated kind of grid work in which you and your team work together to open interdimensional gates so that higher levels of light and love can enter. This unique form of lightworker promotes peace, kindness, positive energy, and fairness to all living beings, from government personnel or diplomats to mediators or yoga instructors.

Manifestors, also known as divine blueprint creators, are a type of lightworker that are skilled at channelling energy to attract what they desire. Of course, this necessitates the proper application of will, with the goal of harmonising with the universe and waking humanity’s collective awareness.

These lightworkers have a unique ability to communicate critical signals to the rest of the globe. They focus their efforts in areas where their inner light and magnetic presence may have the biggest impact on others by sharing messages of love, peace, spiritual awakening, and enlightenment, whether through videos, blogging, teaching, or writing.

These lightworkers dive right into the darkness, transmuting and releasing it into the light. By transmuting past karma, transmuters may be acting on behalf of the collective consciousness and all humanity.

These are those that are on their way up. They’re ascending to higher realms of consciousness and sharing what they’ve learned about the ascension process. They show us how to avoid some of the pitfalls, contradictions, and traps that we may encounter on our spiritual journeys.

Soulpreneurs are a unique breed of individuals that utilise their work to reflect their higher selves. Entrepreneurs, freelancers, healers, artists, coaches, and other professionals fall under this category. But it’s how a soulpreneur does it that matters more than what they do. In reality, it is their attitude toward work and life that distinguishes them from other professionals.
